Cooking at school is cool

FOURWAYS – See how Wendywood Primary School and Hirsch's Fourways came together to look like pros.

Teachers of Wendywood Primary School recently held their very own cook-off.

“There were colours and aromas aplenty and such a wonderful atmosphere. The teachers [with the help of some schoolchildren] had to make a starter, main course and dessert as well as do a war cry for the esteemed judges who were the principal, Keith Driver, and staff members, Innocent Ngwane and Gary Lawrence.

The winning team, the Cherry Blossoms, received a R500 Hirsch’s voucher.

“Despite this being an amateur event, the food proved to be so good that we all sadly broke our diets and resolutions and left well fed and with a huge smile on our faces,” said Sharron Dingle from Hirsh’s Fourways.
