Summit College brothers represent Gauteng at Underwater Hockey Championships

KYALAMI – See which young sport stars excelled in a recent hockey tournament.

Siblings from Kyalami represented Gauteng at this year’s Junior Underwater Hockey National Championships and made their school and the region proud by achieving gold.

Liam and Austin Elferink are brothers and both attend Summit College in Kyalami. They were both selected as part of the Gauteng team for the championships, in Durban.

With Austin as team captain, not only did the Gauteng team win all their games, but they also did not concede any goals.

Liam was selected as the player of the tournament, while Austin has been selected to represent South Africa at the 2017 World Junior UWH Championships, which will be hosted in Hobart, Tasmania in June.
