Future City Fourways (FCF) was excited to announce the signing of a formal co-membership agreement between Future City Fourways and the official Randburg/Sandton/Midrand Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI)

The FCF contingent at the signing ceremony included its partners, The Advisory Board’s Leadership and Business Mentoring Group under Tony Davis, chief executive officer of Dovetail IT Solutions, Dr David Molapo CEO of the I Can Foundation and Mr Andy Mashaile, a representative from Interpol South Africa.

The signing of the agreement took place at RCCI’s offices in Randburg on 28 February.

“The signing brings together major role players in the field of business leadership, mentoring and training and business networking through the official networks of the Randburg/Sandton/Midrand Chamber and its official affiliation with the South African Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the International Chamber of Commerce,” said Advocate Jean Berdou, chairperson of FCF.

The official chamber network has links to over 6 000 businesses, businessmen and women.

RCCI’s chief executive officer, Linda Blackbeard said, “We are all delighted with the partnership agreement signed with FCF and look forward to welcoming and signing up all their members into the RCCI fold.”

RCCI’s president, Neil Pollock added that when people stand together in numbers, then change is possible.

Also at the signing were community leaders from Lonehill, Pineslopes, Dainfern, Douglasdale and FCF’s social upliftment partners, Huddle Up.

“We are mobilising the entire Fourways/Douglasdale community to generate local and international business, employment, skills training and empowerment, networking with current business queries for local and international transactions and to address the issues of crime, grime and the betterment of our community,” added Berdou.

The chamber has substantial support through its links with the City of Johannesburg and training facilities.

“A tremendous amount of work is still going on in the background to finalise the formal launch of this agreement and we will be making the announcements and [sending] invitations to this launch shortly. The list of benefits of membership to FCF-Randburg Chamber of Commerce are amazing and details will also be made available shortly,” said Berdou.
