Young artist on a mission in Fourways

FOURWAYS – Read more about an aspiring artist in Fourways who wants to make a difference and build an empire.

Kwanda Whis (26) is a young and aspiring artist who wants to inspire people wherever he goes through music and good deeds.

“I want young people to understand that it is imperative to follow your dream, but you have to combine it with education,” said Whis.

“You must have know-how in this industry, or any industry for that matter. For example, if you receive a contract, you have to have a basic education to be able to understand and to read it.”

Whis strives to do more for the community. “I want to build an empire, I want to leave something behind, I want to guide young children, they are the future of our country.”

He wants to build an organisation where music and charity can become one idea. He is trying to get companies that are willing to help with any possible donations, whether it be clothes, books, food, toiletries or any basic human need that people can think of.

“I want to show children that if they work hard, good things will follow.”

Whis plans to go to rural areas and give to those in need. He wants to expand as a structured organisation and plans to start by visiting schools and rural communities to help them and inspire where he can.
