Crawford College Lonehill successful at water polo tournament.

LONEHILL – Crawford College Lonehill competes in the Co-Ed Water Polo Tournament.

The girls’ and boys’ first water polo teams of Crawford College Lonehill competed in the annual Co-Ed Water Polo Tournament held in East London, Eastern Cape.

The tournament saw teams from 20 schools countrywide participating in both girls’ and boys’ water polo matches.

For the third year in a row, Crawford’s first team boys won the tournament after a tense penalty shootout final against Stirling High School from Eastern Cape. The girls’ first team was placed third overall in a very tight finish to take the bronze medal for the tournament.

Five Crawford College Lonehill players were nominated for the tournament’s girls’ and boys’ teams. The players were Megan Hughes, Tegan Baker, Matt Herbert, Shakeel Kidd, who was crowned defender of the tournament, and Max Degener, who was crowned goalie of the tournament.
