Men and women in blue arrest 33 suspects during operation

DOUGLASDALE– Read to find out which crimes the suspects were arrested for.

 

The new head of communications for the Douglasdale Police Station, Captain Mpho Kgasoane, released a statement that the Douglasdale police recently arrested 33 suspects during an operation which aims to eradicate crime in the area.

According to Kgasoane, from 16 to 18 September, the men and women in blue conducted an operation which led to the arrests. “The suspects were arrested for different crimes ranging from theft, shoplifting, loitering, drinking in public, possession of dagga, assault with intention to cause grievous bodily harm (GBH), drunk driving, attempted murder and business break-ins,” Kgasoane said.

She added that they appeal to members of the community to continue working together with the police. “We believe that together we can act against crime and defeat it. We urge all community members to report all the criminal activities happening in your area to the police by contacting the police station.
