Mrs Johannesburg finalist shares her journey

FOURWAYS - Find out more about a Fourways resident who is also a Mrs Johannesburg finalist.

Fourways resident and Mrs Johannesburg finalist, Jaci Tibbit, shared her journey thus far in the competition.

“I am Jaci Tibbit, a child of God, a devoted wife and mother. I am blessed with two beautiful boys. I am also a businesswoman and now a finalist for Mrs Johannesburg 2016,” Tibbit said.

Tibbit added that her ambition in life was to be the best version of herself, to be the best mother for her children and the best wife to her husband.

“I want to make a difference in our disadvantaged communities by empowering others. I believe we all have a purpose in life and my purpose and passion is to help others, not only on an economic level, but on a self-development level,” she explained.

Tibbit said she also attended businesswomen meetings and gave motivational talks in which she inspired and encouraged women to believe in themselves.

“I am a full believer in women empowerment, I would love nothing more than to be a helping voice for others in need,” Tibbit said.

She entered Mrs Johannesburg to be a role model, to give hope and love, and to positively impact, empower and to make a difference in the lives of people and children in disadvantaged communities.

Tibbit explained that the pageant was a charity fundraiser to assist projects of a non-profit company, Rolemodels Foundation. The foundation intervenes in impoverished communities in the country, specifically targeting the three most vulnerable groups within a community such as early childhood development through the Imfundo Educare and Skills Development Project, abused women and children through the Asante-Neo Life Project and restore dignity to senior citizens through the Tamakhulu Project in Diepsloot.

“I plead to community members to please join and support me on this journey in assisting me to make a significant and positive difference in the lives of those who need it the most. Ways that you can get involved is by giving any cash donations, donating non-perishable foods such as tinned foods, mealie-meal, rice, tea bags, stationery items, soaps and detergents, secondhand clothing, toys, blankets and books,” Tibbit said.

“My belief is that if we are not living our lives to make someone else’s better, then we are not really living at all.”
