Suspect arrested at Mall of Africa parking

MIDRAND – A man was arrested at Mall of Africa by Midrand Police for possession of stolen goods.

 

A suspect was arrested for alleged possession of suspected stolen goods at the Mall of Africa parking lot.

Midrand Police spokesperson, Constable Matome Tlamela said according to records, the incident took place on 2 July at 7pm. She stated, “A police officer received an anonymous tip that someone was breaking into vehicles parked at the mall. The officer went to the mall and noticed a man carrying a bag at the parking area. The officer asked for permission to search the man and found the items that were reported as stolen.”

The stolen items were two car radios, three different Toyota car keys, two screw drivers, car immobiliser, and a tablet. The suspect was also found with a piece of wire. The suspect will soon appear in court facing a charge of possession of suspected stolen goods.
