Warrant officer Balan Muthan, head of communications for Douglasdale Police Station, has confirmed that police officers have recovered a white Audi A3 in Lonehill just hours after it was hijacked from a couple at their residence in Lonehill on 7 June.
Muthan confirmed that the suspects, who were driving a white Audi A1, followed the couple from a shop in Douglasdale to their home in Lonehill.
The suspects then robbed the victims and hijacked their vehicle before driving away.
Muthan was unable to confirm what was stolen, but said police are still investigating.
