Little Kickers Midrand hosts year-end prize giving

MIDRAND - Little Kickers Midrand hosted their annual year-end prize giving at Urban Life Church in Crowthorne.

It wasn’t only a prize-giving ceremony for the teams’ soccer players as Little Kickers incorporated a charity drive as well for Botshabelo Babies Home.

Little Kickers Midrand hosts classes for children from 18 months to Grade 3 on a weekly basis and some of these children were awarded for their achievements throughout the year.

“We have more than 400 participating children per week in our classes in Midrand. We are experienced and provide professional football skills to boys and girls,” said the owner, Manuela Jardim.

Once the children reach the required age or skill level, they are then promoted to Northerns Football Club whereby they train at Beaulieu College on Tuesday afternoons at 4pm. The Northerns Football Club is a league club associated with the North Rand Football Association of South Africa.

“We have private classes and conduct classes in schools such as Beaulieu Preparatory, Carlswald House, Midrand Christian College, Poplar Academy and Nizamiye Primary school,” said Jardim.

“It was a great success and we thank the Midrand community for their ongoing support.”

On 5 December at their annual prize giving, parents opened up their hearts and wallets by donating baby products as well as toys and food to the babies home.
