Coffee and Choc Expo returns with a bang

MONTECASINO - Billed to be an exciting and decadent experience, the popular Coffee and Chocolate Expo returned to Montecasino with a bang.

The expo, running for a third successful year, hosted a media launch at Montecasino and unveiled some exciting activities in store for avid coffee and chocolate lovers.

Nadine Shone, CEO of Shone Media and organiser of the expo, explained that hosting the expo was a way to expose consumers to the exciting world of coffee and chocolate.

“It’s really about showing people the varied aspects of coffee and transferring the knowledge to the consumer,” she said.

“It’s also about the new trend, with the focus being on coffee tasting rather than wine tasting which is so 90s.”

Shone elaborated on what consumers could expect from the expo, from an informative Coffee Theatre focusing on the origins of coffee, to a chocolate workshop where consumers will be exposed to decadent chocolate creations by renowned chefs.

The expo will also, for the first time ever, include a Home Barista competition which will focus on finding the best coffee Home Barista in Gauteng, something budding baristas can look forward to.

The expo launched in 2012, will run from 16 to 19 July at Montecasino and will feature live entertainment from folk band The Motherland.
