Man raped at gunpoint in Diepsloot

DIEPSLOOT- Police have launched a manhunt for three women who allegedly raped a 21-year-old man at gunpoint in Diepsloot on 25 January.

According to Warrant Officer Daniel Mavimbela, the suspects, driving a white Toyota Tazz, picked up the victim at a tuck shop in Ext. 12. The victim said the women claimed they were lost.

Mavimbela said it is alleged that the victim was forced into the back seat and the suspects drove away with the victim. They then parked on the side of the R114.

According to the victim, one of the suspects undressed and forced him to have sexual intercourse with her at gunpoint. After the ordeal, the victim was left on the side of the road. Mavimbela said a case of rape was opened at Diepsloot Police Station.

The motive for this act is not known. Police are appealing to the public to be cautious when approached by strangers, both men and women.
