Steve Hofmeyr unable to vote during the local government elections

Controversial and outspoken musician and actor Steve Hofmeyr took to social media on 1 November with photos of his sea views, while the rest of the country posted inked fingernails as proof of voting during the local government elections.

Although Hofmeyr has clearly been keeping a watchful eye on the election results, the Afrikaans singer was unable to cast a vote on Monday as he was too far from his ward.

On Sunday, Hofmeyr shared a photo of himself with his daughter, Romy-lee on the popular Sir Lowry’s Pass, saying that they were en route to Onrus, close to Hermanus. He later shared photos of their camping spot, captioning it: “The little ones on Onrus. Beautiful Sunday after many miles.”
