Local sport stars awarded medals
The Susan Strijdom School of Skills in Modimolle awarded 83 medals to their learners during a prize giving ceremony on Thursday 26 October.
The school’s soccer players performed very well this year, with 43 medals presented to them.
The u.16 and u.19 boys won gold medals at a provincial level, with seven players selected to represent Limpopo nationally. During the national championships, Limpopo was third and each player received a bronze medal.
The rest of the medals were presented to boys and girls who participated in different sports at both provincial and national levels. They obtained team as well as individual medals.
The medals were presented by coaches from the school as well as officials representing the provincial and national structures.
