Soccer lovers in the home province will this coming weekend be treated to a weekend of spectacular football, with the last 16 fixtures expected to take place at different venues in Limpopo.

Soccer lovers in the home province will this coming weekend be treated to a weekend of spectacular football, with the last 16 fixtures expected to take place at different venues in Limpopo.

Thohoyandou Black Leopards FC will kick off the last 16 stages of the tournament with a home fixture against the ABC Motsepe League side Amavarara FC, on Friday 21 February at Thohoyandou Stadium.

The Eastern Cape team reached the last 16 stages of the tournament after beating Super Eagles FC 2-1, while Thohoyandou Black Leopards FC booked a spot in the next stages of the competition with a 4-0 drubbing of North West University FC.

On Sunday 23 February, Hungry Lions FC will visit Baroka FC at Peter Mokaba Stadium, for a do-or-die battle, which would see one of the two teams proceed to the quarters-finals.

Hungry Lions FC reached the last 16 leg of the tournament after beating the more fancied Jomo Cosmos 1-0, while Baroka FC advanced after narrowly defeating Limpopo homeboys, Polokwane City.

While on Sunday fixtures, Mamelodi Sundowns FC will host the SAB League side, Vaal University of Technology FC.

Most of the Nedbank Cup fixtures will be staged on Saturday, with Highlands Park FC taking on Kaizer Chiefs FC at Makhulong Stadium, while Happy Wanderers FC hosts TS Sporting FC at Princess Magogo Stadium in KwaZulu-Natal.

In other Saturday fixtures, Mbombela United FC of Mpumalanga hosts Real Kings FC, while Bloemfontein Celtic FC welcomes the in-form Maritzburg United FC.

On Monday 24 February, Bidvest Wits FC takes on Chippa United FC at Bidvest Stadium.
