The crème de la crème of the Waterberg Men’s Regional League fixture between so-so log leaders Modmolle Terrors FC and second-placed Mookgophong Junior Stars FC is expected to draw football lovers in their hundreds.

The Modimolle team sits at the top of the league log standings at 24 points, with arch-rivals Mookgophong Junior Stars FC second at 23 points.

That is, Junior Stars have a game in hand after playing nine fixtures, with Terrors FC setting the pace at 10 points, after 10 matches.

The titanic battle on Saturday was expected to provide a clearer picture as to which of the two giants wants it most.

Many have already declared a draw as the prediction for the match on Saturday 25 January.

The title contenders are preparing for a battle in a much-anticipated encounter, as log leaders Modimolle Terrors FC hosts the second-placed Junior Stars FC of Mookgophong at Modimolle’s
Ephraim Mogale Stadium on Saturday, 25 January.

The Modimolle side toppled Mookgophong Junior Stars FC at the league log summit, after beating Modimolle’s Multinature fc 4-0 last weekend.

Mookgophong Junior Stars FC did not play last weekend, after their date with Modimolle Celtic FC was washed out by a heavy downpour.

Another fixture which did not take place due to the bad weather was one between Vaalwater’s Boys 2 Men and homeboys Volcano FC.

Vaalwater Boys 2 Men FC will this weekend visit Barcelona FC in Mookgophong, while Volcano FC hosts Bela Bela’s Swagger FC, a team which suffered a 4-0 loss at the hands of Bela Bela Soccer
Academy FC.

Bracelona FC will be oozing with confidence as the team approached this league encounter, following a 5-2 bashing of Modimolle Troublemakers FC.

Modimolle Troublemakers FC will be aiming for a comeback this weekend when they host Multinature FC.

In other fixtures, Bela Bela Soccer Academy will host local rivals Diesel N Dust FC, while Modimolle Celtic FC hosts Qualitho FC.

Qualitho FC narrowly defeated Diesel N Dust in Bela Bela last weekend.
