Festive fun all-round in Bela-Bela

The community of Bela-Bela made full use of the holidays to enjoy the outdoors.

Organisers Puleng Phiri and Solomon Makhubela hosted the inaugural Home Coming Beer Garden Pop Up, featuring a five-a-side soccer tournament on Saturday 14 December.

The games were played at the local community hall’s basketball and netball courts.

One of the teams arrived all the way from Pretoria West.

Phiri and Makhubela said the success of the event had nudged them to turn it into an annual tournament.

There was also an arcade games contest on the side-lines, spiced with a line-up of deejays.

On Thursday 26th December events manager Tshepo Phoffu hosted a soccer tournament at Bela-Bela High School Stadium.

Four teams were featured, namely Leseding Masters FC, Raeleng Masters FC, Modimolle Masters FC and Lehlabile Masters FC.
