Limpopo lose out at tournament

Two teams which represented Limpopo at the national Transnet Rural and Farm School Sports tournament did not do too well.

Two teams which represented Limpopo at the national Transnet Rural and Farm School Sports tournament did not do too well.

Ulando High School netball team from the Waterberg, and Nare High School soccer team from Capricorn, were the only two teams which represented Limpopo at the tournament.

Other teams came from Northern Cape, the Free State and the North West Province.

The tournament took place from Monday 2 December to Tuesday 3 December.

Ulando High School lost all of its fixtures.

The Bela-Bela school lost 1-0 to the Free State, went down with the same margin against the Northern Cape.

Worse still, Ulando High School was sent packing with a 5-0 defeat at the hands of the North West.

In the game of soccer Nare High School lost 1-0 to the Free State, but at least won 1-0 against the Northern Cape, and played to a draw against the North West.

The Transnet Foundation touches the lives of 26 000 rural learners on an annual basis.
