Former Bela-Bela Spa Park learner for Transnet tournament

Bela-Bela teenager Neo Hlongwane has been selected to be part of the Transnet School of Excellence ahead of the SAFA Transnet Rural and Farm school tournament.

The tournament’s first leg will be staged in Mokopane from Friday 29 November to Saturday 30 November.

The finals are scheduled for the KwaZulu-Natal capital of Durban from Sunday 1 December to Wednesday 4 December.

Safa Transnet School of Excellence is an institution which attracts talent countrywide.

Hlongwane is a former learner at Spa park Primary School.

He was spotted by the Transnet School of Excellence playing for the Bela-Bela Soccer Academy.

His coach Sam Modise described Hlongwane as a “rare talent”.
