The Waterberg Men’s Regional League was scheduled to kick off in earnest on Saturday 12 October.

Many of the teams have maintained their players’ fitness levels by organising friendly matches, following two weeks of no league action.

Bela-Bela Soccer Academy FC last Saturday 6 October went to play in Polokwane in the annual Marathon Soccer Tournament.

The team played two games.

At the end of one of the fixtures, Bela-Bela Soccer Academy lost 1-0 against Klaas Mothapo High School of Polokwane, and went on to hold Vhembe’s Tshikota High School 1-all.

This Saturday the academy lads will be up against Modimolle’s Troublemakers FC at Ephraim Mogale Stadium, while Mookgophong Barcelona FC will host Mookgophong Junior Stars FC, in a local derby.

Another derby takes place between Bela-Bela Swagger FC and homeboys, Bela-Bela Diesel N Dust FC, a fixture scheduled for Moloto Stadium.

Multinature FC will welcome Qualitho FC while Modimolle Celtic FC will be away to Mabatlane’s Boys 2 Men FC.

Vaalwater’s Volcano FC will welcome reigning Waterberg Men’s Regional League champions Modimolle Terrors FC.
