As the rookies in the National First Division (NFD) are finding their feet in the new season, returnees Moroka Swallows are still battling to find a first win after having played three matches so far.

Both JDR Stars FC and Steenberg United FC were promoted from the ABC Motsepe League, after reaching the final at the national play-offs.

Moroka Swallows FC continued its search for the league’s first victory away at the Thohoyandou Stadium, but were walloped 3-0 at the hands of Limpopo’s Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila FC.

The international break which started on Monday 2 September, scheduled to last until Tuesday 10 September, will give The Dube Birds and all other teams, ample time to prepare for their fourth
league matches.

After the international break, the home side Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila will travel to the Western Cape to do battle with Ajax Cape Town FC on Sunday 15 September.

In other fixtures Moroka Swallows FC will host Royal Eagles FC on Saturday, 14 September, while JDR Stars FC hosts Mbombela United FC.

Former PSL campaigners Free State Stars FC will resume the league race, with a home match against TS Sporting FC.

Steenberg United FC will visit Uthongathi FC, while TS Galaxy FC were scheduled to host Richards Bay FC.

Again in the Western Cape capital of Cape Town, Cape Umoya United FC will host University of Pretoria FC.
