Under-15 team back in the soccer cup

The junior team of Bela-Bela High School under-15 soccer squad is back in the familiar territory of the 2019 Copa Coca-Cola Cup.

The junior team of Bela-Bela High School under-15 soccer squad is back in the familiar territory of the 2019 Copa Coca-Cola Cup.

In 2018 the local lads reached the semi-finals of the inter-provincial finals played in the Eastern Cape capital of Nelson Mandela Bay.

The boys will now represent Waterberg in the provincial leg of the competition at a yet to be determined venue on Friday 9 August, after beating Makhutjisha High School of Mookgophong 1-0 in
the first fixture.

In the semi-finals Bela-Bela High School beat Phagameng High School of Modimolle 1-0 and went on to wallop Modimolle’s Solomon Mahlangu High School 2-0 in the finals.

Last year the boys had a tough one beating the experienced Benny’s Sport Academy of Polokwane.

The latter has played in the international Danone Nations Cup finals in the French capital of Paris.

In the coastal town of Nelson Mandela Bay last year Bela-Bela High School won two matches, losing one and drawing one.
