Orlando Pirates Supporters Club touched by children

The Bela-Bela branch of the Orlando Pirates Supporters Club described as moving their visit to the local Huis Talje, which houses children with physical and mental disabilities.

The club visited the centre on Sunday 30 June to donate nappies.

The team’s organizer, Linah Mabunda, said the visit was a moving experience, and that the donated nappies would go some way to help.

She sent out the clarion call to the broader community to close ranks and show love to the children.

Mabunda said the centre lacked in basic needs such as properly-functioning stoves, sinks, washing machines and clothes.

“We arrived at the centre to find many of the children asleep. Most of the children were abandoned by their parents,” she said.

Orlando Pirates Supporters Club members interacted and played with the children, in what turned out to be a day of great fun for the little ones.
