Thabazimbi to host regional play-offs

The Waterberg town of Thabazimbi was chosen as this year’s host for the Waterberg SAB Regional League play-offs, where one of the three participating teams will advance to the provincial leg of the elimination stages.

Another fierce battle will be between the runners-up from all three streams, where they will be fighting for positions four, five and six.

All matches will be played at Thaba Park Stadium on a yet to be confirmed date.

To kick-start the day-long football action, the runners-up for Stream B (yet to be confirmed) will take on Mookgophong Junior Stars FC at 8:00 in the morning.

The second match of the day will be between Modimolle Terrors FC and Benfica FC of Lephalale at 10:00.

More action will continue at 12:00, where Palala Giant Killers FC of Lephalale will do battle with Stream B runners-up.

Benfica will then continue with the battle for promotion, against the winner of Stream B at 14:00, followed by the encounter between Mookgophong Junior Stars FC and Palala Giant Killers FC at
16:00.

Modimolle Terrors FC will seal the action packed day, taking on the winner for Stream B.
At the time of going to press, the winner and runner-up for Stream B was yet to be confirmed after midweek league fixtures.
