Coach Phuti Mabotja said the team played two warm-up friendly matches last weekend, from which the champions defeated Bela Bela Soccer Academy 4-0.

In another friendly match Modimolle Terros FC fought to a 2-all stalemate with fellow Waterberg SAB Regional League campaigners, Bela-Bela Diesel N Dust FC.

Mabotja said from the onset, the main objective was to win the Waterberg SAB Regional League and ultimately take part in the Limpopo provincial play-offs.

He said the Modimolle Terrors FC family was already looking beyond at being promoted to into the second division of the South African Football Association.

The third-tier of South African football is better known as the ABC Motsepe League.

“We are still chasing the (broader) league title. If you look at our team, you can tell that our players are hungry for success,” he said.

The coach said he was confident his boys will come to the party and advance to the provincial play-offs, and ultimately gain promotion.

“The support we receive from the management and the supporters is a motivating factor for the team to do well,” Mabotja said.

Mabotja commended his boys for their entertaining style of play, indicating that it is part of the reasons why locals come in numbers at the local Ephraim Mogale Stadium whenever the team is
playing.

He told The BEAT that for Modimolle Terrors FC, it is not only about getting a good result, but also about giving local football lovers a reason to come and watch soccer matches.

In Stream B, either Ditlou FC or PJ Stars FC will advance to the regional play-offs, while in Stream C the battle will be between Benfica FC and Palala Giant Killers FC.
