The three-day event was scheduled to rev up the engines on Friday 1 February, set aside as the day of arrival for both vintage and newer models.

The show proper was billed to start on Saturday 2 February until Sunday 3 February at Forever Resorts.

The VW Dub Car Show is one of the most celebrated car shows in South Africa.

The event would this time around celebrate 11 years of its existence.

Organiser Randolph Vanzeeberg said VW lovers from various parts of the country were looking forward to another fabulous weekend.

He said the cars were to be compartmentalized into various categories, among these interior design, sound system and the overall best designed vehicle.

Registration to form part of the event was scheduled to close on Saturday 26 January.

There would be prizes galore with two new vehicle up for grabs.

Disc jockeys have been roped in to provide entertainment on the side-lines.
