Registration for the popular under-12 Danone Nations Cup for the year 2019 has been thrown open.

At the time of going to print two schools from Capricorn had registered, namely Pepps Preparatory School and Kawene Primary School.

Schools in the Waterberg have yet to raise a hand.

The 2019 under-12 Danone Nations Cup is the biggest tournament of its kind in the whole circumference of the earth.

According to the organisers, the tournament has, over the past 20 years, inspired millions of youngsters from around the world.

Nomlinganiselo Primary School from the Western Cape won the 2018 leg of the South African Danone Nations Cup.

South Africa is one of two countries to have won the tournament three times, in 2003, 2007 and 2009.
