Arguably the Waterberg’s hottest soccer “export”, Kgaugelo Sebola, was poised to lead a contigent of five youngsters invited for trials at Premier Soccer League (PSL) campaigners, Baroka FC.

The players were identified during a friendly match between the under-15 and under-17 sides of both Baroka FC and Bela-Bela Soccer Academy.

Baroka won both fixtures 3-1 (under 15) and went on to triumph over the local under-17 squad with a narrow 1-0 margin, played on Sunday 28 October at the local Moloto Stadium.

Bela-Bela Soccer Academy head coach, Sam Modise, said although Sebola was not available during the Baroka FC visit, he would head to Ga-Mphahlele too.

The youngster was identified by Baroka, Mamelodi Sundowns and Supersport United on the occasion of the Copa Coca-Cola Cup.

The other four players are James Ndlovu, Gontse Molokomme, Kgomotso Mokhanda and Elisha Nku.

On the day Baroka visited, Sebola was playing in Modimolle for the academy’s senior team, during the Bela-Bela Soccer Academy’s maiden Waterberg SAB Regional League fixture against Modimolle Celtic.

The match ended in a 2-all draw.
