The regional league was divided into three steams, with Stream A comprising of teams in Modimolle and Mookgophong.

The teams in Mokopane are competing in Stream B of the league, while Stream C comprises of teams in Lephalale.

Fixtures were to be determined by a draw which would be conducted at each hosting venue in all the streams.

At Modimolle’s Ephraim Mogale on Saturday 29 September, Modimolle Terrors FC, Modimolle Troublemakers FC, Modimolle Bussel FC, and Modimolle Celtic FC, would be among the teams to have their names thrown into the hat.

The process would decide who plays who, in a quest to advance to the next stages of the lucrative multi-million rand soccer tournament.

In Vaalwater, the newly promoted Vaalwater Highlighters FC, Vaalwater Storm Breakers FC, and Vaalwater Boys 2 Men would do battle at Leseding Sports Grounds.

As the only two teams in Mookgophong, Barcelona FC and Junior Stars will automatically be confirmed to meet at Extension 2 Sports Grounds, for the Nedbank Cup preliminary stages.

Yet another show of force was scheduled for Bela Bela’s Sunfa Stadium, where Bela-Bela Diesel ‘n Dust FC, Qualitho FC, Opleft United FC, Bela Bela Pirates FC and the SAB League rookies, Bela
Bela Soccer Academy FC and Swagger FC, were expected to battle it out for a spot in the next stages of the Nedbank Cup.

The Nedbank Cup is known as the “upset cup”, more often than not with unknown teams sending the big guns packing from the competition.

Soccer lovers in the Waterberg will be hoping that one of the teams in the region fights all the way to the last 32 stages of the tournament, to test its skills against the biggest teams from
the Premier Soccer League (PSL), and some from the second-tier National First Division (NFD).
