Thusanang benefits from golf

Bela-Bela’s Thusanang Special School is among the beneficiaries from a tournament held at Mookgophong’s Euphoria Golf and Lifestyle Estate on Friday 7 September.

The tournament was hosted by the South African Local Authority Pension Fund (SALA).

SALA chairperson, Lucas Mabela, said the tournament was aimed at raising funds for needy rural and township communities.

He said detailed financial figures could not be made immediately available, pending internal processes.

Mabela said a decision had already been taken to turn the tournament into an annual event.

He said with regards to Thusanang Special School and other beneficiaries, SALA wished to hear them out as to their most pressing needs.

Participating golfers arrived as individuals, while others came from the corporate sector.
