Sports Wednesday launched

The Waterberg Department of Sport, Arts and Culture has officially unveiled its employees sports day, which serves to encourage a healthy lifestyle among government employees.

On Wednesday 12 September, officials from the Department of Sport, Arts and Culture together with other sector departments took part in a 3km walk and wrapped up the day with aerobics.

The activities were expected to be a weekly routine from now onwards.

Limpopo Sport, Arts and Culture principal sports promotion officer,

Simon Mosundwa said they were hoping that the initiative will yield positive results, both in the offices and in the community.

“Through this initiative, we are hoping that our officials will remain energetic at work, and that will enhance service delivery,” he said.

Mosundwa invited all other departments to come together and make a healthy lifestyle fashionable, citing that it will be for the benefit of the community at large.
