Province hosts gymnastics day

Limpopo’s Department of Sport, Arts and Culture hosted a gymnastics day on Saturday 15 September at Capricorn High School in Polokwane.

Waterberg District co-ordinator, Elien Hudson, said civil servants from various local and provincial government departments took part in the day of fun.

Participants competed in the sports codes of cricket, basketball, table tennis, rugby and the indegenous games of morabaraba (loose stones) and khati (jumping rope).

The good news for the home territory was that Goodwill Khumalo from Spa Park was selected in the provincial softball team, headed for national games in the Western Cape during the month of
December.

A total of 44 athletes were selected for the Western Cape contest scheduled for Monday 10 December to Friday 14 December.
