Foundation donates rugby kit to learners

Limpopo Tourism CEO Andrew Dipela has donated a rugby kit to Eugene Marrais Primary School in Mookgophong.

The donation was handed over during an event at the Euphoria Golf and Lifestyle Estate, also in Mookgophong, on Friday 7 September.

In his address, Dipela said black people with the means to make a difference often became charitable on the basis of race, forgetting that there were children from other races who were in need too.

He said the foundation, which was founded in March this year, was in memory of his late son, Thabang, on his first posthumous anniversary the same month.

Dipela said the foundation also aimed to identify charity work which could contribute to social cohesion.

He said going forward foundation programmes would explore activities such as a career guidance initiative, working with educational authorities.

“The foundation seeks to provide school uniforms to learners from disadvantaged communities, too,” he added.
