Respected Ghanian head coach at Bela-Bela Diesel ‘n Dust FC, Gilbert Gyampong, has relocated in the United Kingdom for a teaching post.

The maths and science educator, who doubles up as a soccer coach, managed to lift the struggling Bela-Bela Diesel ‘n Dust FC to end the season at number three.

He was also a maths and science educator at the local Maope High School.

The Bela-Bela Diesel ‘n Dust FC management moved swiftly, unveiling a new technical team spearheaded by team manager, Mike Letlalo, with Spa Park-based Ellien Hudson as his assistant.

The technical department would be co-managed by twin head coaches, Josta Mokhonoana and Abel “Mayoyo” Matjila.

It has not been a smooth-sailing journey for Bela-Belas Diesel ‘n Dust FC, with the team at one stage being put up for sale.

Hudson said in an interview on Tuesday 4 September that new players would be blooded into the team ahead of the Waterberg SAB Regional League season.

These players, she said, were recruited from Rooiberg, Spa Park, Modimolle and also Bela-Bela.

Hudson said the identity of these players would be unveiled just before the start of the new league season.
