With just over seven fixtures left in the title chase for the Bela-Bela Local Football Association (LFA) league, teams are throwing everything they have into matches going into the final stretch.

Bela-Bela Soccer Academy FC lead the pack after obtaining three points from a walkover against Bela-Bela Pirates FC, which failed to honour the fixture on Sunday 28 July.

The academy squad is at the top of the LFA league log standings after winning all their 11 fixtures.

During another league fixture on Saturday 28 July, Bela-Bela United FC walloped Bela-Bela Diesel ‘n Dust FC 6-0, during a match played at the local Sunfa Stadium.

Swagger Boys FC went down 3-1 to Sporting FC.

Bela-Bela Happy Hearts FC also collected three points on a walkover against Bela-Bela Tough Enough FC.

LFA manager, Andrew Mafafo, said the curtain would come down on the current season shortly.

He also disclosed that two teams outside of the LFA had shown interest in playing formal footbal next season.
