Bela-Bela All Stars FC beat Bela-Bela Blue Birds FC 4-3 on penalties, after the under-13 category match-up ended at 2-all, at the end of the referee’s regulation time.

Bela-Bela Blue Birds FC was once again the losers in the under-15 category, after the team went down 3-0 to Real Madrid FC.

But then the birds did fly high in the under-17 category, when Bela-Bela Blue Birds FC walloped Chelsea FC 4-1.

Co-ordinator Apla Baloyi said the SPORTEX school holidays programme continued to keep youngsters away from the streets.

He said preparations would start immediately for their next leg of the games in the month of September, also during the schools’ recess.

He said plans were afoot to include netball for the the games in Spring.

Trophies and medals were awarded to the winning teams in the various age-group categories.
