Bela-Bela United and Diesel ‘n Dust FC bite the dust

Bela-Bela United FC and across-town neighbours, Bela-Bela Diesel ‘n Dust FC, have been sent tumbling from the Mayor’s Cup last Sunday 15 July.

The two bit the dust during the semi-finals of the annual tournament played at the local Sunfa Stadium.

Bela-Bela Local Football Association (LFA) campaigners, Bela-Bela Sporting FC, accounted for Bela-Bela United FC with a 3-1 scoreline.

The Bela-Bela Diesel ‘n Dust FC “B” side, which was also also plying its trade in the LFA, went down 3-0 to Bela-Bela Swasgger Boys FC.

LFA league log pace-setters, Bela-Bela Soccer Academy FC, lost an appeal to overturn the team’s loss to Spa Park Sporting FC.

LFA manager Andrew Mafafo said fixtures, date and venue for the round-robin league between Spa Park Sporting FC, Bela-Bela Swagger Boys FC and Platinum Stars FC, were to be announced towards the end of the week.
