I am mourning the death of Councillor Rachel Masemola who was deployed by the Democratic Alliance to serve as a PR Councillor at our municipal council since 2016.
She served in the social and community services subcommittee and was a humble individual who had the community’s interest at heart.
We will surely miss her sense of humanity and passion for community development.
I further wish to send heartfelt condolences to all families, relatives and friends who have lost their loved ones due to Covid-19 related deaths.
As we say our final goodbyes to our loved ones who passed away, let us ensure that mourners do not exceed 50 people, that no social gatherings take place after the funerals, that people maintain social distance, regularly sanitize their hands and wear face masks that covers their noses and mouths.
Let us fight this pandemic together for the sake of the future generation.
