Water shortage in Vaalwater

As the business owner in Vaalwater, it is extremely frustrating trying to provide a service to customers when water is a scarce commodity.

Chris Petrou, Vaalwater writes:

I refer to Ronel van Jaarsveld’s article in The Post on Friday 2 November, “Inwoners baie ongelukkig oor watertekorte.”

There is also a huge water shortage in Vaalwater.

As the business owner of Puma Filling Station in Vaalwater, it is extremely frustrating trying to provide a service to customers and passers-by when water is a scarce commodity.

Our public toilets are closed most of the time due to the water shortage. We are not able to render a simple service such as windscreen cleaning or filling radiators of our esteemed customer’s vehicles. Our premises are not cleaned to the high standard we are accustomed to, due to the short supply of this invaluable commodity.

The preparation of food is just about impossible. In short, the situation is reflecting negatively on our town and we are sending people away instead of keeping them happy in Vaalwater.
