Warries orators show their eloquence
Amidst the sweltering heat wave, the resilient Warries-orators showcased their strength by delivering compelling speeches in the internal orators’ competition held on March 6 and 7.
The atmosphere was intense, and with the rising temperatures, it was unclear whether the beads of sweat were a result of stress or simply a consequence of the weather.
A total of 21 junior (grade 8-9) learners and 16 senior learners participated in the competition, facing off in a spirited contest.
Gratitude is extended to the judges, who are dedicated language educators, for their valuable time and guidance throughout the event. The speech topics ranged from digital addictions to advocating for universal education and even delved into intriguing fashion facts. The judges found themselves both educated and entertained by the presentations.
The seniors set a high standard, captivating the judges with a mix of motivation, humor, and surprising revelations about salt. Some speeches prompted thoughtful reflection, showcasing the depth of the Warries’ perspectives.
Looking ahead, the focus shifts to external competitions, where learners will have the chance to participate in “On the Tip of Your Tongue” and “Con Spirito” competitions. These upcoming contests will be conducted online.
We look forward to the Warries’ showcase of excellence through their talented speakers.
