Keabetswe joined the AJ Model company in Bela-Bela in 2017. It was there that she learned the fundamental principles of modelling. She is currently part of the 33& Me Modelling Agency.
“I had the opportunity to be on the catwalk for Edgars’ and Pep Stores’ summer campaigns. I was amazed when I won the Miss Bosveld junior title in 2019 and I will be participating in the Miss Waterberg pageant at the beginning of December.”
Keabetswe said she is hoping that the local public will vote in her favour and thus enabe her to participate in the Miss Teen South Africa pageant in 2022.
“Modelling is a great career, but you have to have a plan B in place. I have an interest in accounting and public speaking. I love to do orators at school.”
Keabetswe is fluent in Afrikaans, English and Northern Sotho. During an interview with The Post she said although it was difficult to keep her modelling career afloat during the Covid-19-pandemic, she kept her passion going by watching local and international fashion shows online and often donning her stilettos and strutting across the living room floor.
“I am very active on Instagram and started my own YouTube channel where I host a lifestyle blog and inspirational talks. It is vitally important to me that people do not perceive me as just another pretty face. I am committed to upliftment in my community. I want to share with my peer group that we can all contribute to the needs of others. I will help where I can.”
She is currently looking for sponsorships to enable her to participate in the upcoming pageants.
She is confident that the community will support one of their own and assist with her strive to be crowned as Miss Waterberg.
