The Swedenborgian Church handpicked a total of 50 pupils at Bela-Bela’s Mmamakwa Primary School on Wednesday 29 September, to be trained and drafted into the international wayfarers and
sunbeams movement.

The girls were workshopped in housework, knitting, modelling, Scripture-reading and sewing.

The selected 50 girls were awarded certificates and lapel badges to identify them as either wayfairers or sunbeams.

The boys have their own unique movement, known as the Boy Scouts, identifiable in brown and khaki uniforms.
