The Bosele-Dawn Drop-in Centre in Bela-Bela was finalising its financials to report back to donars with regards to spending over the financial year.

The centre’s finance officer, Sifiso Mhlanga, said Bosele-Dawn Drop-in Centre had received funding from, among others, the National Lottery.

He said funds were spent on school uniform and other basics.

Mhlanga said National Lottery funded the centre with a sum of R57 000, R20 000 of which was spent on school uniform.

Other funds, he explained, were spent on groceries, maintenance, visibility and stationery.

Mhlanga said that the funding from National Lottery was made available towards the end of the 2017, for use from January to June 2018.

He said the Bosele-Dawn Drop-in Centre catered for a total of 111 youngsters.

Activities at the centre include helping pupils with their homework.
