The provincial chairperson of the Limpopo faith-based sector, Bishop Malesela Mosima, said they are hoping there will be a cure for coronavirus, if people can have faith.

“Most importantly we are urging people to follow all the tips, guidelines and instructions that are given to us by the authorities,” he said.

Mosima urged people to pray without ceasing, but further emphasized that people must take into consideration the fact that gatherings whereby people are more than 100 are prohibited.

He said instead of not going to church because of that, it would be advisable to rather split the congregations into smaller groups which will interchange the service according to time slots.

“We believe that what is impossible with man, is possible with God. Having said that, we believe that South Africa and the world at large will be saved from this scourge,” he said.

Mosima cautioned that when people feel sick or have flu-like symptoms, it will be best that they stay at home while seeking medical attention.

He also said it was absolutely important to follow the tips from the health authorities, by ensuring that people wash their hands and also use other ways to greet other congregants, instead of shaking hands.
