Church gives back to the community

The leaders of a Modimolle-based church, Jehova Kadosh Ministry, Pastor Dumalesele Mpemvana and his wife Lucia Mpemvana, dug deep into their own pockets to put a smile on the faces of 25 children.

The leaders of a Modimolle-based church, Jehova Kadosh Ministry, Pastor Dumalesele Mpemvana and his wife Lucia Mpemvana, dug deep into their own pockets to put a smile on the faces of 25 children.

The couple visited Hector Peterson Primary School, Dagbreek Primary School, and Maokeng Primary, handing over school uniforms to identified learners, in the company of Councillor Rufus Mahoro
and Department of Education Social Worker Anna Matsena.

Pastor Mpemvana urged people who have some few bucks to spare, to use it to change the lives of those who are in need.

He said the world will be a better place if people could start seeing their neighbour’s child as theirs.

Pastor Mpemvana’s wife Lucia, said they realised that most of the times there will be learners who lack self-esteem and the courage to go to school, due to the fact that they do not have proper
school uniforms.

She said the aim was to close the gap between children who are from disadvantaged backgrounds and those who have support in their families.

She also called on the community of Modimolle to do their bit in ensuring that the children are taken care of, regardless of their background.
