Limpopo MEC for Treasury, Seaparo Sekwati, said it was high time township and rural schools produced good results.
He said this during his two-day visit to Bela-Bela where he visited Vingerkraal High School, Maope High School, Hoërskool Warmbad and Bathopele High School.
During his visit at Hoërskool Warmbad, a high numbers of learners sought enrolment at the school.
He urged parents to consider schools in the township as well, because the latter high school could not cope with all the rising numbers.
“If our educators gave all their best, the same schools in the township can also produce good results” Sekwati said.
He also pushed for inter-school programmes between different schools.
Sekwati was accompanied by councillors from around wards in Bela-Bela on his whistle-stop tour.
