House music improviser King Monada is expected to make an appearance in Bela-Bela on 30 November. Otherwise born as Steven Kgatla, the sensational crooner rose to national prominence with his hit song, “Malwedhe”. King Monada is billed for a once-off show at Lerato’s GrillHouse in the township in Bela-Bela. Last Saturday 23 November, revellers in the same township welcomed the popular Diaspora-born Gauteng-based duo Major League, comprising of twins Banele and Bandile Mbere. The show was hosted by the Maks Corner Shisanyama outlet. King Monada carved a niche in the music industry through a repertoire of house music which he presents in the Khelobedu dialect. Originally from the Limpopo town of Tzaneen, King Monada started his music career in 2013. He will share the stage with Metro FM DJ Lerato Kganyago. Kganyango is well-known as a TV soapie actor, deejay and cover-girl model. The event will start at 18h00. — The BEAT
