The three suspects linked to a house robbery in Noodhulp were remanded in custody when they appeared before the Bela-Bela Magistrate’s Court on Monday 4 November.

The three suspects linked to a house robbery in Noodhulp were remanded in custody when they appeared before the Bela-Bela Magistrate’s Court on Monday 4 November.

Bela-Bela police spokesperson Sergeant Frans Maponya confirmed that the suspects are expected back in court on Monday 18 November for formal bail applications.

The suspects’ arrest and subsequent court appearance are a sequel to a robbery which took place at a house behind a shop on plot number 233 Thabazimbi Road, on Wednesday 9 October.

The police confirmed that the suspects are all Zimbabwean nationals, two men and a woman.

Two of the suspects are believed to be a live-in couple, who worked at the farmhouse.

The suspects were also charged with the possession of unlicensed firearms, after they allegedly stole two firearms and 14 rounds of live ammunition from the house.

Maponya further confirmed that the suspects were also charged for being undocumented foreigners.
