The police in Mahwelereng outside Mokopane have launched a search operation, following the disappearance of a girl at Masodi Village.

The police in Mahwelereng outside Mokopane have launched a search operation, following the disappearance of a girl at Masodi Village.

The Limpopo police spokesperson, Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe, said it was reported that the 16- year-old Kamogelo Masenya was last seen on Sunday 8 September at her parent’s house.

“It is alleged that the victim disappeared from her parents’ home on 8 September 2019 at about 07:00 in morning. She was sleeping in the same room with her siblings and she left without informing anyone where she was going,” she said.

Ngoepe said it was not known which clothes she was wearing at the time of her disappearance.

The missing young woman was described as slender, brown in complexion, medium height and with a oval face.

The police are calling upon anyone who can assist in locating the girl, to contact Detective Constable Makwela on 076 351 7210 or 015 483 5016.

Alternatively, those with information can call the Crime Stop line on 08600 10111 or visit their nearest police station.
