Mathabatha hits ground running

Limpopo Premier Stan Mathabatha has hit the ground running, embarking on a roadshow to sell President Cyril Ramaphosa’s New Deal to the provincial civil service.

Limpopo Premier Stan Mathabatha has hit the ground running, embarking on a roadshow to sell President Cyril Ramaphosa’s New Deal to the provincial civil service.

The Premier’s spokesperson, Kenny Mathivha, said Mathabtha would start by unveiling the finer details of the national government’s programme to Limpopo’s senior managers at a yet to be
determined venue and date.

Speaking on the occasion of the induction of MEC’s held at the Zebula Golf Estate outside Bela-Bela on Tuesday 18 June and Wednesday 19 June, Mathabatha said it was vital for politicians and
heads of departments to work together.

“Political leadership and the administrative leadership are equally important for the effective running of any government department. The relationship between the two is like two wings of one aeroplane – you simply cannot do without the other wing,” he said.

The induction was presided over by ANC veteran and former Cabinet Minister, Sydney Mufamadi.

The inducted politicians included, among others, Sport, Arts and Culture MEC, Modimolle’s Thandi Moraka.
